The 46-millimeter Big Pilot's Watch Edition "Le Petit Prince" sports the distinctive blue dial that has become the distinguishing element of IWC's special editions in homage to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's most well-known literary masterpiece. The watch is driven by a 52110-calibre movement made by IWC. It has a productive Pellaton automatic winding system with components composed of either white or black ceramic. It develops a 7-day supply with the aid of two barrels. The amount of power reserve left is shown on the display at "3 o'clock". A date display at "6 o'clock" and the central seconds, which are necessary in any watch used for flying, are both features of the Big Pilot's Watch. It is well protected from the effects of magnetic fields thanks to its soft-iron inner case. The young prince wearing a cloak and wielding a sword is engraved on the back of this Pilot's Watch.
