At its heart lies the IWC-manufactured Calibre 59210, a robust manual-winding movement designed to run with chronometric precision for a full eight days (192 hours). To ensure absolute accuracy, the movement is engineered to run for nine days, but is mechanically stopped after eight to avoid the reduced torque of a winding-down mainspring. The movement’s exquisite “Côtes de Genève” finish and 30 jewels are visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
