Officine Panerai started out as a manufacturer of diving instruments, and was commissioned by the Italian Royal Navy (the Regia Marina) to supply equipment, including watches. When Italy became a republic in 1946, the Royal Navy became the Marina Militare. For Panerai, the name ”Marina,” indicates the inclusion of sub-seconds.

Outstanding service from start to finish. I spotted the watch I had been searching for at around 9pm, and by the next day I had all the information and detailed insights I needed. The watch was invoiced immediately and delivered by 8am the following morning. The entire process was seamless, professional, and incredibly efficient.
