On the dial of historic Panerai models you sometimes also find the customer”s name. In the case of this new Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days Acciaio "Marina Militare" it was the Italian Navy. This timepiece is reminiscent of one of the first of Officine Panerai”s in Florence at the time . Instead of having no name at all (commonly the habit for editions for special military units), or the name of the fluorescence material "Luminor" or "Radiomir" on the dial, this Panerai bears the name Marina Militare. The watch has a 47mm polished AISI 316L stainless steel case with brown calfskin leather bracelet and matching pin buckle. Turn it over and the case-back matches the dial”s simplistic design, with Panerai”s In-house Calibre P.3000 which offers 3 days power reserve when fully wound. The movement also features 21 jewels and 161 components. Panerai has a rich diving history so a 100m water resistance makes this a more than capable watch for water activity.
