Categorized as a luxury standard and the first waterproof Rolex to indicate a modern calendar and self-winding Chronometer with his debut in 1956. Decorated in a sophisticated 36mm 18k gold case surrounding a white dial with yellow gold roman numerals markers and hands. The signature fluted bezel is an aesthetic element and distinctive hallmark of the Rolex brand. The dial has a scratch-resistant sapphire-crystal and is powered by the caliber 3255 perpetual movement completed by a power reserve of 70 hours. The Day-date also utilizes the process that involves screwing the case back , bezel, and twinlock screw-down crown into the monobloc middle in order to give us a water resistance of 100 metres . The 18k yellow gold bracelet includes semi-circular three piece links and concealed Crownclasp. Its functions include centre hour, minute and seconds hands instantaneous day and date in apertures, unrestricted rapid-setting and stop-seconds for precise time setting . The Oyster Perpetual Day-date is an essential must have for any collector.
