Rolex introduced an all-gold reference to their line of Submariner dive watches in the late 1960s. Gold Rolex watches have always been a highly coveted status symbol. The 16808 is an early reference that boasts a lustrous 18 karat yellow gold finish, an exquisite blue metallic dial topped with yellow gold nipple hour markers and Tritium luminous plots, a blue aluminum bezel insert with yellow gold graduations, and a stunning satin and polished finish. As an older preowned Rolex, the ref. 16808 also features an acrylic crystal over the dial and runs on an older generation calibre 3035 self-winding movement.
