The creation and innovation behind designing a masterful chronograph timepiece can be tricky as one has to carefully plan the dial configuration of this very popular complication amongst steel sports watches. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak with its Silver-toned dial with Grande Tapisserie pattern, white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating, date display and chronograph sub dials at 3, 6 and 9 oclock, has clearly set the standard for what a pure luxury chronograph watch should look and feel like. The 41mm diameter case is also only 10.8mm thick and fitted with a stainless steel AP bracelet with AP folding clasp. Powering this masterpiece is APs self winding calibre 2385 comprising of 304 parts, 37 jewels and offering 40 hours of power reserve. The oscillating weight is also crafted from 18ct gold. The timepiece offers a 50m water resistance for peace of mind.
