This pre-owned IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar, reference IW502621, is a rare limited edition of just 31 pieces created for Monaco jeweller Zegg & Cerlati in 2010/2011. The watch pairs IWC’s oversized 46mm stainless steel Big Pilot case with a black dial, Arabic numeral hour markers, and the brand’s signature oversized crown — a design legacy rooted in IWC’s original 1940s pilot’s watches built for cockpit legibility.
The watch is powered by the IWC-manufactured Calibre 51614, an automatic movement with Pellaton winding, a twin-barrel configuration delivering a 7-day (168-hour) power reserve, and a Glucydur beryllium-alloy balance. The perpetual calendar complication displays date, day, month, four-digit year, and a northern/southern hemisphere moonphase, alongside a power reserve indicator and small hacking seconds — all accurate until the year 2100 without correction. The case is fitted with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a screw-down sapphire display back, and is water resistant to 60 metres.
