The dial achieves its rich color through an intricate process requiring six layers of hand-polished lacquer applied in a controlled-atmosphere environment. The hands and applied hour markers are crafted in 18 ct gold to prevent tarnishing and filled with Chromalight luminescence for blue-glowing legibility in low light.
Behind the solid steel case back beats the in-house Calibre 3230, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex.
