Extremely rare 14060M transition model circa 2005-2006, understood to only have been produced for a 1 year period. The very last 2 liners produced before Rolex moved over to 4 liners.
The Submariner, which was introduced in 1953, was the first divers wristwatch to be waterproof to a depth of 100 metres (330 feet). Following the creation of the Oyster, the first waterproof wristwatch in the world, in 1926, this was the second major development in the technical understanding of waterproofness. The Submariner was a historical turning point in watchmaking and established the benchmark for divers watches. The Submariner is now waterproof up to 300 metres (1,000 feet).
