A straightforward, useful, yet stylish watch, the original OMEGA Railmaster was created in 1957 for railroad employees or anyone who worked close to electrical fields. Today's revised model, which further expands the Railmaster's capabilities, carries on same innovative attitude.
The stainless steel, 40mm, symmetrical case has a wave-edged pattern on the rear. The brushed stainless steel hands and recessed hour markers on the vertically brushed grey dial are all filled with "vintage" Super-LumiNova. Also, a beige "Railmaster" indicator that has been transferred adds a vintage touch.
The caseback of the watch has an NAIAD LOCK design (patent pending) that keeps the text upright. It is entirely brushed and fitted with the band. The OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806 is the watch's power source. This Railmaster model honors the outstanding anti-magnetic properties of its predecessor by being certified at the highest grade in the industry by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) and capable of withstanding magnetism of 15,000 gauss.
